Multi-Camera Director
Chris Power is a highly experienced ‘live’ multi-camera director working across all genres in prime time television in the U.K. and Internationally.
He has helped create some of the most popular known TV shows in the UK, USA, China and Australia.
Specialising in dance and music shows with his choreographic background.
He has also directed many live entertainment shows, cookery shows, daytime shows, chat shows, game shows and major live events including the HM Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration at Windsor Castle.
He has recently won a BAFTA Craft Award for Best Multi-Camera Director following 3 consecutive BAFTA nominations in the same category for his work on the very successful ‘Saturday Night Takeaway'.
He also received Best Multi-Camera Director award from the Royal Television Society of Great Britain.
His many hit shows have gathered a multitude of Accolades, not only 30+ BAFTA's, but also The RTS and the National TV and Broadcast Awards.
He is without doubt, one of the most experienced directors in his field with over 20 years worth of prime time shows behind him.
Chris started life in front of the camera as a television dancer on all the major Entertainment Shows of the time working with many talented choreographers and Directors.
He soon discovered the desire to create his own pieces and used his knowledge gained on the studio floor to become a very successful choreographer in TV.
He enjoyed working closely with the top Directors at the time and as their working relationships grew so did Chris’s ambition to take that next step forward and become a television director.
He was trained at Granada Television in Manchester but eventually decided to take the risk and venture into the freelance world where he could share his valuable skills.
He has never looked back ………
